16 week Ultrasound

I am very happy to report that my cold is MUCH better. I am still quite stuffy, but it is nothing like before.

On Tuesday, we met with the maternal/fetal specialists for the first time & had an awesome high-tech ultrasound. They had me on a very comfortable recliner with a big screen tv that was hooked up to the ultrasound machine. It was totally awesome to see the babies. Thank God they were both alive & moving around. The anatomy looked great, although the doctor mentioned that they can't see as much now as they can at the 20 week scan...so I go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound! They even took some 3d pictures, which were very neat. We found out that we are having....
A BOY & A GIRL!!!!!!
I am still in shock over this because the girl was behind the 2 boys when we had them transferred. I thought for sure I was having 2 boys....so I am still in disbelief that this is accurate. I have ultrasound pictures of both crucial body parts, but the boy is so much easier to dicipher. I am glad I go back in 4 weeks so I can have them confirm this. No matter what they turn out to be, as long as they are healthy & alive, I'll be very happy!!

My next OB appointment is on Wednesday (2/16), but I have to go back to the hematologist for follow-up bloodwork on Monday (2/14). They increased my Lovenox to 60 mg twice a day instead of 40 mg...this was due to my weight increase!

We are getting closer to selling our house & I just can't wait until it is finalized. I am hoping this can happen by next week. My SIL is coming in from Italy for the weekend because she has a business trip in the area. Other than that, nothing is new. Take care & Best wishes!

Home Sick

And by this, I don't mean I am away from home & missing it! I have a horrible cold that has taken over my entire body. The other night I had a slight fever, so I went to the doc for a throat culture. (There are some nasty germs being passed around my class, including strep.) Luckily I don't have strep, I just have a very bad cold. While I was there, they took my blood pressure, which was 140 over 90. Apparently, that is high, so they requested I contact my OB.

My OB had me come in yesterday to recheck the blood pressure, and I am so happy it was in the normal range at 110 over 74. The OB also listened for the heart beats, and Thank God both were very strong. I never rented a doppler because I was afraid that I would be too neurotic with it, so hearing the hbs yesterday was a real treat. Now I just need to make it until Tuesday (2/8) for my specialist appointment & ultrasound.

My morning sickness has been worse the past 2 weeks. I actually had to pull over on my way to work on Tuesday to vomit in the car. So far, I am vomit free today...but the day is still young! I am 15 weeks 6 days today...so maybe it is over!?! I have totally lost my appetite & am forcing myself to eat anything that I can keep down.

To update on my last post: My husband is over the shingles & luckily they weren't very painful. Another dead mouse was found in my classroom...I am so grossed out! Our house hasn't sold yet, but there has been much interest. (Zeeks, I hope your place sold already....if not, her are some "quick selling vibes".) Also, I'm sorry I never posted a "belly-shot". The one I have now is out dated, so maybe this weekend we will do another. Everyone in school (teachers, kids, & parents) know that I am pregnant. This scares the crap out of me, but there was no way to hide it any more.

Well, I guess that is it for now. I am going to try to catch-up on all your blogs today....it might take me the next few days though! Take care & Best wishes!
