16 week Ultrasound
I am very happy to report that my cold is MUCH better. I am still quite stuffy, but it is nothing like before.
On Tuesday, we met with the maternal/fetal specialists for the first time & had an awesome high-tech ultrasound. They had me on a very comfortable recliner with a big screen tv that was hooked up to the ultrasound machine. It was totally awesome to see the babies. Thank God they were both alive & moving around. The anatomy looked great, although the doctor mentioned that they can't see as much now as they can at the 20 week scan...so I go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound! They even took some 3d pictures, which were very neat. We found out that we are having....
A BOY & A GIRL!!!!!!
I am still in shock over this because the girl was behind the 2 boys when we had them transferred. I thought for sure I was having 2 boys....so I am still in disbelief that this is accurate. I have ultrasound pictures of both crucial body parts, but the boy is so much easier to dicipher. I am glad I go back in 4 weeks so I can have them confirm this. No matter what they turn out to be, as long as they are healthy & alive, I'll be very happy!!
My next OB appointment is on Wednesday (2/16), but I have to go back to the hematologist for follow-up bloodwork on Monday (2/14). They increased my Lovenox to 60 mg twice a day instead of 40 mg...this was due to my weight increase!
We are getting closer to selling our house & I just can't wait until it is finalized. I am hoping this can happen by next week. My SIL is coming in from Italy for the weekend because she has a business trip in the area. Other than that, nothing is new. Take care & Best wishes!

Cara, this is all such wonderful news -- I read it yesterday but am just getting a second to comment now. I've been thinking of you, and I'm so happy that you are having two healthy little ones. A boy AND a girl, no less. You so deserve this!!
Oh, so are you on the orange syringes now instead of the yellow? I have to adjust mine from 60mg to 50, and it's very strange for me. I swear it seems like I'm injecting less than I was before withthe 40mg ones, but I'm following all of the instructions to the T! Hopefully the b/w will come back fine...do you get to go in and have 6 viles of blood drawn every 6 weeks, too? Of course, they had me come in again 5 days post increase. We are such pin cushions, aren't we? (You even more than I, I realize!)
Anyway, so glad all is well. SSCKs!!
