33 1/2 weeks

First of all CONGRATULATIONS to Crista & JulieB for your wonderful deliveries! Lynn, I am so exctied about your U/S today...keep up the good work! Katie...I anxiously await your post of a fabulous delivery!

Well, I finally have a home...but it is in total disarray. Being on bedrest & having boxes all around me is very frustrating. We have been chipping away at them each night...I lie on the couch & give orders as my husband, my mom, or my sister to put things in place. Thank God for their help...but it would be so much easier for me to do it myself!

I am on my 8th week of bedrest & it has become much more uncomfortable for me to sit-up. Therefore, I haven't been able to dedicate much time to using the computer because it is not by my bed. I try to read/comment on a few blogs each day...but I am always thinking about you guys!!

As for the babes...My peri appointment on 5/31 showed that they were BOTH about 4 pounds 3 ounces (I was 32 1/2 weeks at that point). The doctor seemed very happy with the growth & doesn't want me back until June 28th! Who knows if I'll still be pregnant then! Yesterday (6/7), I had a regular OB appointment. We are definitely doing a c-section & it will be the first week of July if I can wait that long. My cervix was closed...so we shall see what happens.

My doctor said that if I go into labor before 35 weeks, he will try to stop it. After 35 weeks, he said we will deliever the babies! (That is only 1 weeks & 2 days away!) He also said that I only have 2 1/2 more weeks of bedrest. So at 36 weeks, I can resume normal activity...the problem is, will I have the stamina to do anything productive at that point? He wants to see my weekly now, so my next appointment is 6/14.

My husband & I got flustered thinking that we could possibly have these babies in less than 2 weeks. Their room is not set-up at all & I have barely organized all the gifts that we received from my shower. Not to mention, we have to buy a ton of things before we can even set up their room. I'm shocked that this all might actually be for real...I have spent this entire pregnancy on pins & needles.

Last medical update...they are switching me to Heparin on Friday. I still have to do 2 shots a day but they are not pre-filled. My hematologist doesn't want to see me again until after I deliver...that really freaked me out!

Oh well, that's all for now...I have to go lie down. Take care & Best wishes!

Congratulations on a wonderful appointment. They sure are getting big. Hopefully your husband can take a few days off to set everything up. I can't believe you are just about there. I bet getting the ok to get out of bed will be a strange feeling. I cannot imagine having to stay on bedrest for so long. You are so close....

You are getting so close! Its very exciting. I cannot wait until you are giving us your birth story for your babes.
I was thinking the other day how much I enjoyed my c-section. I know, I sound crazy, but I did. Glad I went that route.
Hope you get some semblance of order around there soon. Glad you have people helping you out!

Wow, I guess I only posted to you in my head. LOL. You are so close to meeting your children, I can't believe it. You've been a trooper while on bed rest, I'm sure it will be exciting to have it lifted. Just make sure you continue to take it easy.
